"Consumer protection" intervenes to eliminate black market of cars

Maj.-Gen./Atef Jacob, Chairman of the consumer protection agency that the Agency received numerous complaints from clients, about some auto companies and distributors rejected to sell at the agreed price when booking cars, which contributed in making a black market of cars.  he explained that the Agency discussed these complaints with parent companies  , which  has obliged its agents and distributors not to collect additional amounts on the price agreed with the client.

 

He pointed out that the agency can not intervene in the pricing of cars, but only works on the commitment to the agreed price between the two sides and the protection of consumer rights.

 

For his part, Major General / Hussein Mustafa, executive director and official spokesman of the Association of Automobile Manufacturers said it had been agreed with the Consumer Protection to include the price and the date of delivery in booking Receipt, or any variables or cases may lead to a price increase after booking.
