AlAraby: revising the importers records to be presented to Parliament

Ibrahim El Araby , Chairman of Cairo Chamber of Commerce revealed  the revising of the importers' registers as one of the measures to control the import, which will be presented to the parliament to be discussed within the amendments to the law on import. The traders had warned of the negative impacts of the decision of Tariq Kabil, Minister of Trade and Industry concerning the recent ban on the import of many commodities the goods in case of not recorded their factories exported to the General Authority of Export and Import Control.

 

 

They said during a meeting of Importers Division in Cairo Chamber held last Monday in the presence of the representatives of the nearly 200 companies from all governorates ' we are waiting the worst "indicating that the approval of revising the importers' registers, will have negative reflections on the importers, El Arayb responded saying" the law went to the parliament".

 

Traders stressed that the approval of the decision causing damage of nearly 850 thousand companies and 4 million traders, according to statistics issued by the Chambers of Commerce as well as the shrinking of Capitals and employment.
