Visit of the Chinese delegation to Cairo Chamber of Commerce

Cairo Chamber of Commerce received a delegation from Hubei Province in China, to discuss new ways to support the Egyptian-Chinese trade relations in the coming period. This is a part of Cairo Chamber's efforts to increase domestic exports to foreign markets, said Ibrahim El Araby, Vice-President of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce and Chairman of Cairo  Chamber . The Chinese delegation includes different sectors, including agricultural products, chemicals, and cosmetics beside directors of Chinese Commercial Office in Hubei Province.

 

He stressed on the intensification of the talks currently to increase domestic exports and trade with most countries alongside reviewing proposed projects to be established on the axis of the new Suez Canal, and take advantage of the positive reaction in the media about the new Suez Canal, whether local, or international to promote for the Egyptian projects In general.

 

El Araby added that the Egyptian-Chinese relations are distinguished though the balance of trade is in favor of the Chinese side, but in the coming period we will witness strong support of local exports and reduce the gap between imports and exports through opening new markets for local products, whether in China or other countries.

 

For his part, Ali Shoukry Vice Chairman of Cairo Chamber of Commerce and chairman of Cairo Chamber's Foreign Relations Committee pointed out that Egypt is currently starting a new phase of economic growth represented in the issuance of new laws, such as the new investment law and the opening of new investment projects in different areas by both government and business organizations seeking to pave the roads in front of local and foreign businessmen and remove the obstacles they face.
