Cairo Chamber: periodic studies and proposed solutions to the issues of markets and consumers

Cairo Chamber of Commerce started implementing project for preparing regular studies aim at identifying the most important problems of the consumer, trade and markets with finding solutions and recommendations, which started with the issue of the rationalization of energy".

 

The report prepared by Mr. Ramzy Abdel Mohaymen, researcher at Cairo Chamber explained that the Chamber seeks to achieve sustainability in its work after getting the certificate of ISO Social responsibility 26000.

 

The report indicated that the Chamber started to change the light system gradually inside the main building for rationalizing the energy consumption, alongside it signed cooperation protocol with the ministry of electricity, in a project of improving energy efficiency, lighting systems, electric appliances, renewable energy, and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

 

Under this Protocol, lighting bulbs will be replaced with LED for all shops in Cairo for energy-saving, the Chamber also recommended some serious stores to implement the project objectives and benefit from the support, financial support provided by the Department of electricity accounts for 25% of the value of the cost required from stores owners, who recommended by the Chamber.

 

The project aimed to upgrade the power to adopt technical and economic feasibility study to change lighting systems, and provide a list of suppliers and companies specialized in the field of energy saving lighting.
