Amman Chamber calls on the Egyptian authorities to be exclude from the new requirements of exportation

Within the framework of the results of Cairo Chamber's visit to Amman Chamber, the Jordanian private sector bears his message to the Egyptian authorities to exclude Jordan from the new requirements that have become an obstacle to national exports to enter the Egyptian market.

 

This comes at a time when the Jordanian private sector complains of non-registration of Jordanian goods and preventing Jordanian trucks from passing through Egypt to the Libyan market. Also the private sector stressed during the talks held in Amman Chamber of Commerce that the new requirements threaten a dramatic decrease in exports to Egypt during the coming period.

 

They explained that the new Egyptian procedures delay exportation that will entail significant financial burdens on Jordanian traders, calling for the need to except  the Jordanian side in the framework of distinguished  brotherly relations between both countries on all levels , in other hand the head of  Cairo Chamber delegation and the first vice Chairman of Cairo Chamber confirmed that the new requirements issued by his country's government  will form obstacle against imports movement in favor of the Egyptian market.

 

Shoukry explained that the new requirements aim at protecting the Egyptian economic in the framework of great decline in foreign currency reserves, in addition to stimulating the companies to establish investment projects and to export through Egypt.

 

During the meeting they have agreed on establishing specialized office in Cairo Chamber and other in Amman in cooperation with the industrial and commercial sectors to deal with challenges facing private sector in both countries and working on solving them.

 

 Also Essa Haidar the chairman of Amman Chamber of Commerce said that the Chamber will work in cooperation with its industrial counterpart   on establishing specialized office for receiving problems facing the private sector and delivering them to Cairo Chamber for solving them
