Dr. / Khaled Hanafy Minister of Supply & Internal Trade announced during a meeting with Dr. Jalal Saeed, Minister of Transport, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Supply that  activating the system of transferring food commodities, grain imported from ports will start soon, and also the transfer of food commodities between the provinces by rail and river, in agreement and coordination with the Ministry of transport in order to speed the transfer of such goods and reduce the waste and ease the pressure on road transport lines.

Dr. Jalal  ElSaid, minister of transport, Said the transport of goods by rail and river transport reduces congestion on the roads, which costs exorbitant amounts of money  for their maintenance as a result of the heavy traffic of vehicles transporting and represents a serious risk to the road network and wastes energies of rail and river transport which already available and untapped.
