Kabil: discussing ways of increasing joint trade with China

Engineer Tarek Kabil, Minister of Trade and Industry held session f extended talks with Jiang Zanagwa Chairman of the Chinese Council and his accompanying delegation, for the Promotion of International Trade between The two sides and reviewing the ways of increasing bilateral trade and joint investments between Egypt and China during the next phase.

 

 

He pointed out that the economic relations between Egypt and China and close ties based on the achievement of the common interest of both countries, because the last period witnessed the signing of an economic cooperation agreements with the Chinese side amounted $ 15 billion, most of which came into effect stressing the need to work to increase the Egyptian participation in exhibitions held in China and increase Chinese investment in Egypt.

 

 

He said that the ministry is discussing currently with the Chinese side examination system before shipping the Egyptian exports of agricultural products to China, which would increase export rates to the Chinese market.

 

 

For his part, Jiang Zanagwa chairman of the Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade said that the visit of the Chinese delegation to Cairo aimed at activating strategies and conventions that agreed by the Egyptian and Chinese Presidents earlier this year.

 

 

 He referred to the meeting of President Abdul Fattah El-Sisi with participating investors at the second investment forum, which was held in Cairo recently. He confirmed the stability of the economic situation in Egypt and the government's commitment to support all investment projects by improving the business climate, which was given great confidence to all investors, confirming the confidence in Egypt's contribution to global economic integration system.

 

 

Zanagwa also stressed that  his country welcomed the decision of registration of Chinese companies exporting to Egypt which  issued recently by the Egyptian government, explaining that this decision would increase the Egyptian people's confidence in Chinese products.
