Cairo Chamber and Ministry of Industry calls for a review on the export subsidies

Ali Shoukry Cairo Chamber’s Vice Chairman called Tarek Kabil, Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade, for  reconsidering the increase of exports to 6 billion pounds, which was announced recently in the 2016-2017 fiscal year as a step to increase Egypt's non-oil exports during the next phase.

 

Shoukry criticized in a statement the increase of export subsidies, that did not contribute to solving the dollar crisis, which exceeded 11 Egyptian pounds.

 

He pointed out that exporters sell  their Dollar earnings from exporting in the black market to gain more money, but when they need to  the dollars for importing production requirements ,they are turning to banks to take advantage of the price difference.In addition to this he called for Lowering the price of gas for producers
