Egypt’s total exports jump 11% YoY in 11 months

Egypt’s total exports surged 11% year-on-year (YoY) during the first 11 months of 2022, the Minister of Trade and Industry, Ahmed Samir, announced, according to an official statement on December 29th.
Egyptian exports jumped to around $32.575 billion in January-November from about $29.405 billion in 2021, Samir revealed.
He said that the country’s total exports were expected to reach around $35 billion by the end of 2022.
The minister commended the state’s success in the implementation of the program to refund export burdens, adding that EGP 16.7 billion were dispersed to export companies in 2022.
