Minister of Commerce Tarek Kabeel confirmed Saturday on the important and excellent economic and trade relations between Egypt and the European Union.
This came in an expanded meeting with State Secretary to the Swedish Minister for EU Affairs and Trade Oscar Stenstrom at the ministry’s headquarters in Cairo.
Stenstrom’s visit to Egypt comes in line with his country’s efforts to expand economic and trade cooperation between both sides in the coming period.
Kabeel pointed out to Egypt's keenness on strengthening bilateral relations with the EU and Sweden، as the EU is considered Egypt’s most important economic partner.
He stressed on the importance of encouraging Swedish businessmen to increase their investments in Egypt، through establishing joint projects.
Moreover، he called for introducing new programs and initiatives that contribute to the strengthening of this cooperation، taking into account the new changes، which are currently taking place at the international scene.
