Egypt-Italy Trade Exchange Hit $5.8 Billion- CAPMAS

The value of trade between Egypt and Italy increased to $5.8 billion in 2021, compared to $4.5 billion in 2020, an increase of 29%.
Data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) headed by Khairat Barakat revealed an increase in the value of Egyptian exports to Italy, recording $2.8 billion during 2021, compared to $1.5 billion in 2020, an increase of 91.4%.
The value of Egyptian imports from Italy decreased by $2.97 billion in 2021, compared to $3 billion, year-on-year, with a slight decrease of 1.2%.
The value of Italian investments in Egypt increased by $448.8 million during Q1 of FY2021/22, compared to $320 million during Q4 of FY2020/21, an increase of 40.3%.
The value of Egyptian remittances working in Italy recorded $94 million during the FY2019/20, compared to $82.6 million in the FY2018/19, an increase of 13.8%.
The value of the remittances of Italians working in Egypt amounted to $7.9 million during the 2019/2020 fiscal year, compared to $6.3 million during the FY2018/19, an increase of 24.3%.
