Minister of Finance Mohamed Maait reviewed Wednesday the outcome of the meetings held between Head of the Egyptian Customs Authority (ECA) Al-Shahat Ghatouri and director of the Jordanian customs department.

Maait underlined the need to intensify cooperation between the two countries and work on facilitating and simplifying procedures for better flow of goods and cargo between both sides.

An agreement has been reached between the two sides regarding the implementation of the Advance Cargo Information (ACI), said the ECA head.

He further said that an agreement was also reached with the Jordanian side to organise exchanged visits between representatives of Nuweiba and Aqaba ports, in order to enhance trade exchange.
