Supply and Internal Trade Minister has decided to establish ministerial decree no (53) for 2012,
which regulates handling, storing, and grinding local wheat. The decree was issued on 5/5/2012.
Article (1):
Expropriation of supplied local wheat in case of mixing them with imported one, in the place
they are found.
Article (2):
Any supplier discovered providing wheat from the former, or even earlier seasons, will have the entire
amount expropriated.
Article (3):
Any public or private supplying mill shall be closed if it does not use the ration of local wheat provided,
or mixes it with imported wheat in order to resend local wheat.
Article (4):
Any violation to the previous decisions is punishable by penalties of article 56 from the decree
of law no 95, for the year 1945, which is referred to.
Article (5):
Governmental decree no. 16 for the year 2006 is hereby cancelled.
Article (6):
This decision is to be published in the official Egyptian paper. It is officiated from the date of its
publication.
